Bank reconciliation with CSV statement import

Updated 30 Oct 2026

Match the transactions on your bank statement with the transactions in the bank account's general ledger.

Steps

  1. Download the account statement from internet banking in CSV format.
  2. Accounting → Bank reconciliation (permission "Bank reconciliation") → choose the bank account and period → import the CSV. Map the columns (date, description, debit, credit, balance) if the bank format is new.
  3. Medivana suggests matches automatically (similar amount and date). Confirm the correct matches.
  4. For statement lines without a match (bank fees, interest, net QRIS settlements), create an adjusting entry from the same screen.
  5. Complete the reconciliation when the bank balance equals the book balance after adjustments. Save the reconciliation report.

Tips

  • QRIS and card settlements usually arrive net of the MDR (merchant discount rate); match them with the Cash in transit transactions.
  • Reconcile all bank accounts before the monthly period closing.
