Financial reports are calculated in real time from the journal. All reports use the same period and branch pickers, can be exported to Excel/PDF, and can be scheduled by email.

Core reports

Report Contents
Profit and loss (income statement) Revenue, COGS, gross profit, operating expenses, operating profit, net profit, EBITDA
Balance sheet (statement of financial position) Assets, liabilities, equity as of a date
Cash flow Direct method and an indirect summary
Changes in equity Equity movements per period
Trial balance Opening balance, debit/credit movements, closing balance per account; balance status
General ledger Movements per account with a running balance
General journal List of journal entries, filterable by event, source document, and account

Advanced accounting adds receivables/payables aging, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, budget vs actual, and the tax summary.

Drill-down

  1. In a report, click an account figure → the general ledger for that account for the same period.
  2. Click a general ledger line → the full journal entry.
  3. From the journal entry, open the source document (invoice, payment, dispensing, goods receipt, etc.).

Filters

  • Period: start and end dates.
  • Branch: one or several branches; Enterprise with consolidation can view combined figures and branch comparisons.

Performance

A one-year profit and loss and balance sheet for one branch should appear in < 5 seconds. If it is slower, try narrowing the period and report it to the Medivana team.
