Ordering from the EMR

  1. The doctor creates a lab order on the Consultation screen (permission "Order laboratory tests"): choose the tests or panels.
  2. The order appears in the Laboratory queue and is added to the invoice.

Entering results

  1. The analyst opens the order (permission "Enter and validate laboratory results") and records the sample collection.
  2. Enter the result for each parameter. Every parameter has a LOINC code, a unit, and a reference range.
  3. Results outside the reference range are flagged (L low, H high, LL/HH critical) with an icon and text.
  4. Validate and finalize. The results appear in the patient's history and on the doctor's Consultation screen, and are sent to SATUSEHAT (the Ministry of Health's national health data platform).

Printing and sending

Print the results on the clinic's letterhead or send a PDF to the patient. Results from a referral laboratory can be uploaded as documents.

Test master data

Set up tests, parameters, units, reference ranges (per sex and age if needed), and tariffs in the laboratory settings.

Clinics with the Custom integration: lab analyzer bridging (LIS) add-on can send orders to the analyzer and receive results automatically; results from the analyzer are marked From analyzer and must still be validated by an analyst. See the article "Lab analyzer bridging (LIS)". Without the add-on, results are entered manually or uploaded.
